Past Event Highlights

On January 25, 2026, despite heavy snowfall, Maverick Learning Centre proudly hosted the AMC 8 Math Contest, welcoming students both in person and online right on time at 3:00 p.m. With strong support from parents and families, the day was filled with quiet focus and excitement as young minds embraced the challenge of mathematical problem-solving.

The AMC 8 serves as a key stepping stone, inspiring students to appreciate the elegance and beauty of mathematics. At Maverick Learning Centre, our small-group AoPS classes continue to nurture this passion, guiding students from AMC 8 through AMC 10 and AMC 12 with experienced, motivating teachers. This event marked another important moment on our journey to building confidence, mastery, and a lifelong love of math.

In November 2025, Maverick Learning Centre hosted the AMC 10 and AMC 12 Math Contests, welcoming dedicated students eager to tackle challenging problems and deepen their mathematical understanding. With strong encouragement from families and a supportive learning environment, participants showed great focus and determination throughout the competition.

These contests serve as vital milestones for students advancing in math, and our AoPS small-group classes provide the expert guidance needed to excel. From AMC 8 to AMC 12, Maverick Learning Centre remains committed to fostering confidence, skill, and a lifelong passion for mathematics in every student.

Our spring chess event welcomed 40+ players from across GTHA. Students built strategy, patience, and sportsmanship.
